FAQs

Who are you?

We are philanthropists with a presence in the Caribbean and the United States. Our goal is to create meaningful and lasting impacts in communities both locally and globally. We recognize that many existing foundations and charitable organizations have historically acted as gatekeepers, determining who receives assistance and who can contribute. We are committed to challenging and changing this paradigm.

As young philanthropists, we prioritize making a difference rather than seeking recognition. We have no interest in having our names prominently displayed on building walls, plaques, or seeking media attention for our giving. We choose to remain anonymous to ensure that the focus remains on the individuals and causes we support, without taking away from their significance.

How much are you giving away?

While the specific amount of our philanthropic giving remains confidential and is managed by our accountants, we have allocated a substantial sum to support initiatives that drive positive social change. Our current priorities include building schools, fully funding organizations addressing gender-based violence (GBV), and providing financial support to women entrepreneurs. While we are open to considering various ideas, these areas are our primary focus and at the top of our wish list.

What is the maximum that my organization or business can apply for?
Our gifts to existing charity groups range from $2500 to over $1million USD.

Do I have to be a nonprofit to get funding? I have medical bills or other expenses. Can you help?
Currently, we do not provide direct financial assistance to individuals.

How can I donate?

We operate solely on our own resources and do not rely on external donations. As a fully self-funded organization, we have the autonomy to determine how our philanthropic efforts are carried out. This self-sufficiency allows us to align our resources with our vision and priorities without relying on external funding.

I do not yet have an organization. Can I still apply for funding?

GWIF warmly welcomes ambitious nonprofit entrepreneurs and encourages them to seek funding. If your mission aligns with our areas of interest, we may be able to provide financial assistance to help you navigate the necessary paperwork, such as obtaining 501(c)(3) status or your country's equivalent, and offer funding to support your organization's launch. We firmly believe that the nonprofit sector has been dominated by the same gatekeepers for far too long, and we are committed to using our resources to bring about change.
