Job Title: Program Director - Caribbean

Location: Remote with Regular Travels to Sint Maarten or San Francisco or Sint Maarten

Salary: $80,000+ USD per year (depending on experience) plus Full Benefit Package

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the fund's programs, aligning with the organization's mission and goals.

  • Identify opportunities for expanding impact and reach, ensuring the long-term success of initiatives.

Program Development:

  • Design and develop innovative programs addressing the diverse needs of women globally.

  • Ensure programs are evidence-based, sustainable, and contribute to long-term positive change.

Project Management:

  • Lead the implementation of program activities, managing budgets, resource allocation, and timelines.

  • Monitor progress, evaluate program effectiveness, and make adjustments for successful outcomes.

Partnership Development:

  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships with local and international organizations, governments, donors, and stakeholders.

  • Seek new funding sources to support program growth and sustainability.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage a team of program staff, providing guidance, mentoring, and support.

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Establish monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess program impact and outcomes.

  • Collect and analyze data to measure program effectiveness and inform decision-making.

Advocacy and Communications:

  • Represent the fund in relevant forums, conferences, and networking events.

  • Advocate for women's rights and equality, effectively communicating the fund's mission and impact.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree or self-taught in international development, women's studies, social sciences, or related discipline.

  • Work Experience: Substantial experience in program management, preferably in international development, women's empowerment, or related fields.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of gender issues, women's rights, and challenges faced by women in the Caribbean. Knowledge of best practices in program design, monitoring and evaluation.

  • Leadership and Management Skills: Ability to lead and manage a team, set strategic direction, and drive results.

  • Communication and Advocacy: Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, experience in advocacy and building partnerships.

  • Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, understanding cultural nuances related to gender equity.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in program management tools (DevResults, SalesForce), iWork, Google Workspace, Jira, Zoom.

Administrative Assistant (Part-time) - San Francisco

$40 per hour, 20 hours.

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Administrative Assistant to join our team at our Haight-Ashbury office in San Francisco. The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing essential support to the administrative and operational functions of our organization, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. This role involves maintaining efficient office procedures, managing clerical tasks, and offering support to various departments.

Responsibilities:

General Administrative Support:

  • Assist in day-to-day administrative tasks, including managing phone calls, emails, and correspondence.

  • Maintain organized filing systems and databases.

  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements.

Office Management:

  • Monitor and order office supplies as needed.

  • Oversee office equipment and ensure proper maintenance.

  • Coordinate with building management for office maintenance.

Data Entry and Record Keeping:

  • Input and update data accurately in databases and spreadsheets.

  • Maintain records of important documents and contracts.

Communication:

  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external communications.

  • Draft and edit documents, memos, and reports.

Meeting Support:

  • Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and distribute relevant materials.

  • Coordinate logistics for meetings and events.

Assistance to Management:

  • Provide administrative support to executives and managers as needed.

  • Assist in special projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively and influence stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and an understanding of cultural nuances related to gender equity.

  • Proficiency in using software and tools for program management, data analysis, and reporting (DevResults, SalesForce, iWork, Google Workspace, Jira, Zoom).

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team.

  • Discretion in handling confidential information.

  • Familiarity with office equipment and basic troubleshooting.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Women’s Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, or similar, or self-educated.

  • Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
